Call for Presentations-ERAPPA Webinars

ERAPPA is comprised of facilities management professionals of universities, colleges, community colleges, and K-12 schools from Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States who engage in high quality professional development opportunities and networking.

ERAPPA offers regular webinars on topics of interest to its membership. As part of the strategic plan for the ERAPPA Professional Development Committee, it is our goal to continue to identify professional development needs of the membership and potential members to keep ERAPPA current and up-to-date. These webinars are live interactive seminars that participants can join from the comfort of their home or office. They are typically hour-long sessions, with 45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A, presented via Teams/Zoom or similar.

We are pleased to extend the “Call for Presentations” to all ERAPPA education members, business partners and vendors. We look to our colleagues in related professions to submit presentations that will be innovative, inspiring, and provide key insights that attendees can apply to their most vexing problems at their institutions.

The ERAPPA webinar must be vibrant, current, innovative and of interest to the majority of the audience.

Speakers must provide an electronic format of their presentations at least one week prior to the event and must schedule an orientation meeting with the host prior to the scheduled seminar. Any changes to content or speaker availability must be cleared at least two weeks prior to your seminar. Please note that webinar speakers are not paid.

Webinar Topics:

All topics are welcome, but some suggestions include:

  • Warranty tracking system for capital projects
  • Dealing with difficult conversations
  • Converting non-recyclable waste into compressed pellets

Selection Process:

ERAPPA member institutions and business partners are strongly encouraged to create joint presentations that reflect the partnership and implementation of ideas and/or projects, including lessons learned. Presentations will only be accepted on-line. Access the submission form here.

The Professional Development Committee will review submissions and the selection will be based on the following:

  • Anticipated interest and timeliness of the topic to educational facilities management
  • Qualifications of the presenter(s)
  • Technical innovation or innovation in our membership’s areas of interest
  • Professional Development Credits when applicable and appropriate
  • Overall quality
